I’m posting like a typical Winnipegger on here...
Ugh, gross, it looks stupid, is that a wing, it’s like something I’ve seen in Russia, I could do better than this, why? Why? Why? I’ll believe it when I see it, why did they pick those colours? Are these the final renderings...I hope not. What’s with the so and so, why can’t they build something like this (insert building in Toronto) Nailed it. |
Does Toronto even has many buildings beautiful and not generic like this?
Well partly I'm joking. |
In addition, it seems that the 2 floors of "atrium" at the top are going to be the hottest units of them all

The developer Private Pension Partners seems to have flown under the radar. They have a few projects on the go, including 221 Stradbrook.

It's alright. Nice to see infill but it should be better if it were near an rt station

On the plus side i think those apartments look quite nice. They would look better downtown, of course.... |
The article says this isn’t the final design, although it is Affinity Architecture so I wouldn’t count on it being much of an improvement above this initial rendering.

Rabble rabble rabble. lol
A couple large projects down Pembina, with the other one at Bison Dr underway (I think). Targeting the university crowd no doubt. |
It's interesting that Janice Lukes says that the target demographic is not students. While they may not be targeted I have no doubt they will still be the primary renters... This development plus the actual student housing at Pembina/Bison will be much needed additions for the area

Being a man of Finnish background that grew up in Fort Garry, this is the greatest day of my life, and that includes the night I lost my virginity in 1994.
