DC Building collapses
Don't think I've ever seen this before in the US: A building just collapses, for no obvious reason (no explosion or whatever).
|
Can't say I've ever seen that either. It does have a fence around though so there must be something going on with the property?
|
Honestly looks to me that it was being rehabbed and they probably removed some supports, the old walls just caved at some point
|
Wow I'm impressed with that firefighter response time.

A building collapsed in Philadelphia a couple years ago.
|
That's some serious final destination shit.

The first world is awesome! Look how fast the firefighters arrived!!

Looks like a gut rehab without permits. So it appears to have been an inside job ;) The first floor corner wall collapses vertically, which is strange but the fence hides what's happening. The fire engine is a weird coincidence; it was returning to the station which is literally 1 block away.

lol @ the absolutely epic firefighter response time :haha:
(And yes, it's incredibly obvious they were about to pass in front of that building anyway, and it just collapsed right in front of them so they stopped) |
Building collapses are not entirely uncommon in New York (although certainly not frequent). Typically they are abandoned or being demolished.
