Is the clock still operational? I do hope they switched its components over to more modern ones, because the sound of the functioning clock would drive me crazy!

This has always been one of my favorite homes. It's located in Victoria B.C. and for sale through Sotheby's for around $17.5 million USD.

:previous: Looks like you stopped everyone in their tracks with that one, Hammersklavier!
If I could choose any house I've every seen to live in, it would be Vaux le Vicomte in France. Saw it on a school trip 21 years ago, still remember it vividly: http://www.linternaute.com/sortir/ma...mte-233530.jpg http://www.linternaute.com/sortir/ma...-vicomte.shtml Julien Valle, L'Internaute http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedi...le_Vicomte.jpg http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedi...le_Vicomte.jpg Eric Pouhier, Wikipedia http://farm1.static.flickr.com/86/24...9c745f4dba.jpg http://farm1.static.flickr.com/86/24...9c745f4dba.jpg Panoramas, Flikr |
I ever wished a house like those, but the clock penthouse is really incredible for the through clock around.
http://www.rimontgo.es/myimages/casa...-exclusive.jpg link http://www.gewerbeimmobilien24.de/gi...age/1133-1.png link Instead of using hood in this salloon i would prefer a 'porcelanato ceramic very big shinning white plates' all over. I don't like much hood inside a house. Just for some very old objects like a Lamp or old Clock for contrast, nothing more. Even if has few doors, could be in hard plastic white or alumninum. Hood brings much insects and do not hold good for ever. |
im not gonna lie, i think falling water is amazing, but its not incredible imo. from the outside its beautiful, but from the inside it does nothing for me.

^gorgeous.
me I just want a little cottage somewhere urban. A London mews house would be ideal - secret cobbled lanes, former stables, stoop to get in the door. 2 bedrooms, pricetag $12 million: http://www.lurotbrand.co.uk/images/photos/mews4.jpg http://images.halfapercent.com/ext210.jpg www.lurotbrand.co.uk, http://images.halfapercent.com http://www.thehindu.com/multimedia/d...1_jpg_676f.jpg http://www.primelocationblog.com/uk/...ews-london.JPG www.thehindu.com, www.primelocationblog.com http://yurtay.org/wp-content/uploads...rchitects2.jpg http://i.telegraph.co.uk/telegraph/m...1_1421271c.jpg http://yurtay.org, http://i.telegraph.co.uk |

My dream home would be Norman Foster's villa on the Côte d'Azur:

^ noice (as they say in Australia) here's the view from Hearst Castle:
http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3229/...141a38f2_o.jpg http://www.flickr.com/photos/that_ch...uy/3050610998/ ...I thought it was farther inland. I read that it's about 8km from the ocean, but that must be 8km along a long windy road up into the hills. |
OH MO GOSH!!!!!! :slob: :slob: :slob: :slob:
