it bugs me too see it in every shot

Are those just reflections or are the windows near the top in varying shades?

I'm fairly sure it's a window-washing boom.

By the way, can someone confirm for me the proper way to pronounce "Lujiazui?" Is it "loo-jee-ah-ZWEE?"

It's Pinyin pronunciation, which can be somewhat different from standard English pronunciation of the same letters.

The 'way' is very close to the English 'weigh', but the z sound in pinyin actually sounds more like dz, so zui is pronounced dz-weigh.
