Original groundbreaking was scheduled for 2016, they've moved this to as soon as summer 2015 and are refusing TIF funds, per reports because they don't need it. Bank financing I assume shouldn't be a problem because of the company and also the powerful market Nashville is right now with hotels and Class A office space at under 7% vacancy.

Man, Nashville is just getting all the cool buildings. I would definitely like to see the city in person when these get built.

Wow. That looks amazing.

I'm very impressed with this design; especially in comparison with some of the other hotel designs that we've gotten in Nashville in the past two or so years. Can't wait for next summer...so many towers under construction.

Agreed. Hopefully this raises the standard for any developer looking to build a major project in this city from here on out, even if it's for no other reason than to prevent personal embarrassment.

A larger image...

Appears to be 35-36 stories on top of a 4-5 story base.

With the way the tops of both buildings just kind of fades out on the rendering, it makes me wonder if that's an actual design element, or if, perhaps, they're leaving the door open for the addition of more floors or a crown of some sort?

MIRYDI Nov 12, 2014 3:10 PM

^Not sure.

Something else I just noticed is that the office tower appears to be built on top of a parking garage.

Here's another rendering of this development. I really like both towers and cannot wait to watch them rise.

Thank you for posting that rendering! I was looking for it everywhere. This project looks awesome, though, in this rendering the hotel tower does appear to be a bit shorter than it initially did.

That rendering is awesome! Both of these towers are pretty slick and a nice change of pace.

Call me crazy, but imo, this is Nashville's best proposal EVER. This even blows the original Signature Tower design out of the water.

I'm kind of wondering that as well. Looks to me like it may be how it looks when lit up. These are gonna be a beautiful addition to the skyline. I'm completely stoked about this.

Building on site is now vacant and demo/asbestos removal will begin in earnest.

BnaBreaker Sep 11, 2015 9:25 PM

Existing structures on site are currently undergoing demolition for this project. Construction soon!
