Ick! It looks like the Castilian got caught in the cuisinart.
|
Cool. The location looks like Lexington & St. Mary's to me.

If this new building gets built it will be right in the center of this image! |
Yas, I can't wait for this semi modern tower to rise. At least i hope it's going to look like that.
...Off topic, that AT&T building needs to go or get redone or something, ick. |

Thanks for the larger picture. Well it's definitely got a unique look to it. Wish it was closer to the color in the original picture though.

Oh wow, this is interesting. I am definitely happy that it is a modern look and pushing away from the typical all beige buildings of downtown SA. I just really hope the final design creates more street level interaction instead of just leaving that big wall on the street level.
|
It has a Jetson's era space age look to it, kinda nice. But why no river level?

Be aware. The developer is known for blank wall podiums. His high-rises in Houston, on the left (Cosmopolitan) and right (Astoria). The latter is wrapping up construction, up close the materials are pretty subpar. Hopefully the planning commission sends Thompson Residences back to the drawing board.
http://i.imgur.com/X95ulpr.jpg?1 His other new developments seem more promising. After Astoria he teamed up with a new architect; ditched the art deco trend. Arabella: http://ww1.hdnux.com/photos/36/01/64.../5/920x920.jpg |

Oooof, that blank wall at street level. Why??
|
MySA says the building goes to the HDRC on March 16. No other new info -
