Not sure if anyone has known, but they built a 2 story glass slide that hangs off the 70th floor of the building! I mean its pretty short ride, but its an interesting but scary idea!!!

The observation deck as totally worth the money, took the subway into dtla and got a real taste of the urban string. Something like that was desperately needed to really facilitate a downtown boom. The interiors were modern but not over the top, views fantastic, and it really showcases how great the city really is. Well done oue

Library Tower will still dominate the skyline after Wilshire Grand is topped out.

I put up a thread on the Skyspace deck...

I know some of the LA forumers have much better photos than mine. Please, add them here!

Yeah, Wilshire Grand is a bit disappointing in that way. I still like Library Towers design much better as well.

Library Tower will always be the best. The Wilshire Grand isn't looking very super tall at all; just tall.

I love this building.

The US Bank Tower was topped out on April 18, 1989 but does anyone know the exact date when it surpassed the First Interstate Bank (Aon Tower)?

How the USB tower would look with an added spire.http://i287.photobucket.com/albums/l...ly/USBT2_1.jpghttp://i287.photobucket.com/albums/l...ly/USBT1_1.jpg

Similar to what I always thought it would be, except mine would be two smaller "crowns" and THEN the spire.

I imagine it being fitted with led lights to put on a motion light show of colors on special accessions. Something has to be done to keep up with Wilshire Grand's crown and spire.

But where would you land the helicopter? ;)

Blesha13 Jun 7, 2019 7:27 AM

Do any of you miss US Bank Tower being the tallest in the city? I sure do. :( Can we remove the spire from the Wilshire Grand because it already looks nice without it. Besides the entire spire doesn’t even light up at night.
