Awful design
 
Would expect this to "grace" the skyline of a third-tier city in China. What a mess. It is dark and unbalanced, and probably would be even worse if actually built.

Yeah, we're thinking this may not even be a serious project. More like a design firm looking for a job. I don't doubt the block is planned for something, and there are rumors there may be a Le Meridien Hotel announced later this year or next since a developer stated they had three more hotels in development for Austin. The only thing I like about this project is they said it would have a public observation deck. Other than that, I hope they go back to the drawing board and start over.
