Vehicle Diagrams
Unfortunatly it is not recommended to insert, by the people who can does, vehicles to be included. So let's go in this thread and post your wonderfully made vehicles. So maybe some day this is reviewed again. Sorry, but Cranes of 200m high or huge oil platforms of more than 1000m of structure are much more nicier than barely spread residential buildings of 40m. ___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ SHIPS New France http://s1.directupload.net/images/140519/7nug8lsu.gif http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Song_of_Norway_(ship) http://img404.imageshack.us/img404/3...n2013exmvr.gif smv Cisne Branco 1999 l76 h46 Tall Ship Brazil - Personally visited this ship http://imageshack.us/a/img19/9445/sm...o1999l76h4.gif Petrobrás P-47 FPSO 270m 55m Offshore Ship Torinita Monróvia http://img194.imageshack.us/img194/5...so270m55ms.gif mv Freedom Of The Seas 339m 64m RCCL Cruise Ship Transportation Nassau Bahamas http://img20.imageshack.us/img20/689...oftheseas6.gif mv Flamingo Sun Flight 310m 83m Ship Oil Crude Tanker Transportation Fortaleza Brazil http://img515.imageshack.us/img515/8...flighttank.gif mv Brasil 515 - 2015 l 515m b 51.5m h 51.5m Oil Crude Ship Tanker Transportation Brasília Brazil http://img32.imageshack.us/img32/259...15l515mb51.gif Ex.mv Mont 2009-2010 Ex-mv Knock Nevis 2004 Ex-mv Jahre Viking 1990 Ex-mv Seawise Giant 1979 Ex-Oppama 1976 Ex-Port l 458.45m h 73m b 68.80m d 24.61m 1972 t 260941 Kn 16 Vehicle Tanker Ship Oil crude Transportation Floating Oppama Japan http://img708.imageshack.us/img708/1...s2004exmvj.gif Diagram from Eduardo Segundo mv FPSO Stena Drillmax t58294 l227.8 b42 d13 h121 http://s1.directupload.net/images/140519/hba28ih3.gif More Ship Tankers see here: http://z11.invisionfree.com/shipbucket/ar/t2896.htm ___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Blohm + Voss Repair ex-mv Uisge Gorm FPSO 1995 Bluewater Offshore ex-mv Dirch Maersk 1998 Tanker 248.31m 39.9m 63m kn14 t99800 - 1983 Ship Offshore Netherlands Antilles http://img89.imageshack.us/img89/372...so1995blnp.gif mv EnQuest Producer 2013 FPSO ex-mv Uisge Gorm FPSO 1995 Bluewater Offshore ex-mv Dirch Maersk 1998 Tanker l248.31m b39.9m h63m kn14 t99800 - 1983 Ship Offshore Netherlands Antilles http://img41.imageshack.us/img41/780...ucer2013fp.gif Repair at Blohm + Voss the mv Petrojarl Banff Teekay Petrojarl Production l120.7m b53.5m h67m 1997 t20800 Ship FPSO Douglas UK http://img7.imageshack.us/img7/1239/...nffteekayp.gif ___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Ships I travelled with http://img209.imageshack.us/img209/6...stravelled.png ___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ AIRCRAFTS Airbus A380 British Airways l72.3m b79.8m h24.1m 2005 Vehicle Aircraft Transportation Flying Toulose France http://img542.imageshack.us/img542/4...3mb798mh24.gif Boeing B747-800 l76.25m b68.45m h19.35m 2010 Vehicle Aircraft Transportation Flying Seattle USA http://img841.imageshack.us/img841/6...l7625mb684.gif Boeing B787 Air India l56.7m b60m h16.9m 2011 Vehicle Aircraft Transportation Flying Seattle USA http://img341.imageshack.us/img341/6...7mb60h169m.gif Aérospatiale BAC Concorde l61.66m b25.60m h12.20m 1969 Vehicle Aircraft Transportation Flying Toulose France http://img7.imageshack.us/img7/8044/...cconcordel.gif ___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ CRANES http://img198.imageshack.us/img198/5...163m1975ve.gif TKMS Yard Crane Kiel Germany, 1975 110m ___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ OFFSHORE http://www.fino-offshore.de/en/ Fino I 121m 2003 Research Communications Borkum Germany http://s1.directupload.net/images/140519/l82ji3ka.gif Fino II 120m 2007 Research Communications Rügen Germany http://s1.directupload.net/images/140519/tebcee9r.gif Fino III 142m 2009 Research Communications Sylt Germany http://s7.directupload.net/images/140519/vmb65ry3.gif |

Nice diagram though. |
machines are awesome! they would look great on the diagrams .... : (
|
offshore structures are unmovable, so I guess they can be added
|
I really think we should stick to the actual topic of this website which are skyscrapers and highrise buildings.
That's why people are visiting this website and the diagrams. The moment you start adding all kind of things is the moment a lot of them willl turn away IMO. |
No general ban of offshore structures and vehicles
In my opinion we should not generally ban offshore structures and vehicles.
Offshore structures should be handled as towers, as building offshore structures is a challenge of engineering. An offshore HVDC inverter plant is more remarkable as a 15-story building in a town! In fact, each structure with a basement in a body of water can be considered as offshore in strict way and so even many bridges belong in this category. Concerning vehicles my opinion is the following: - trains: no - too low - ships & aircraft: if taller than 50 metres, then yes - cranes: permanent cranes should be added. Also Emporis has such objects in the database ( http://www.emporis.com/building/cont...amburg-germany ) - rockets: yes, if taller than 10 metres - large excavators and other big machines: yes, if taller than 30 metres. |
ships are megastructures that deserve to be in the charts!
|
I'm ok with permanent cranes, offshore structures and other unmovable structures. No ships etc. (Maybe except for Queen Mary that's permanently docked).
The focus of Skyscraperpage should be skyscrapers though. Anyone's free to start a vehicle diagram site. |

I just want to add that I just tried searching the diagrams for ships. I saw Vehicles as an option and got excited, but nothing came up. I thought it was glitching out until I found this post.
Personally, I think ships/large movable structures should be listed. If not, at least get rid of the vehicles category, as it's incredibly misleading. |
However in earlier days there were some entries. Can we not restore them?

Vehicle Diagrams
It seems to me, you were mistaken
