^^^ My bet regarding that "little scratch" was that no building plans would show the layers of building that were amassed over the years. It was done to expose the exterior to show what they are working with. With the building being so close to the street and sidewalks they usually completely gut or horseshoe the inside of the building and collapse the walls down inward.

That makes sense.
Can't wait to see this site all cleared, prepped, dug out and U/C!

That street pissed me off the last few days. Why would the city allow one lane to be blocked for demolition which is understanding, BUT ALSO block off the opposite side of the road because the credit union wanted to put up new signs at the same time so that street was squeezed down to just one lane during rush hour? :hell:

I agree. that 's totally avoidable, credit Union should have did there thing before. Or been told they have to wait untill right lane re-opened.
[even if it were to be 20 or so months]

50 million? I swore it was 75 when announced...

That estimate would be low. Also don't forget that sites like that post "construction" values, not overall budget.

What will the main elevators be like? Will they be glass elevators or regular?

Words can't describe how thrilled I am to see these eyesores finally bite the dust. Good riddance.

Doubly Agree!

Everytime I saw them I just wanted to throw some TNT at them, thankfully True North had found a use for the A&B Sound Building until this all was finalized!
