I am not sure if there is a thread for this project, but the website for the proposed condo development at 151 Meadowlands, near the corner of Woodroffe and Meadowlands is now up: http://allure151.ca/.

I drove by this project today and noticed that there was a new sales sign advertising the development. The website also contains floorplans and prices. I live in this area and knew about this project, but I didn't realize that it was this far ahead. I took a quick look at the prices and they seem overpriced to me, but it will be interesting to see if they will find buyers.

Hmmm, it's WAY too tall. Can't they build a couple of bungalows and a tool shed instead?

Seems they've redesigned it so that there is only two storeys facng the housed on the east side. Still, the occupants will know those two extra storeys are back there somewhere, and it will consume their lives.

Totally not the unit mix I (or my family who lives near there) was expecting. I was expecting more smaller units geared to investors who would rent to Algonquin students.

Looks more like they're aiming at retirees and empty nesters/downsizers who want to stay in the area.

I'm thinking it will take a long, long time to sell out, given the location and pricing.

This one is now going at a fast pace. Four or five houses were taken away and one demolished. The hole is dug and pouring is into its 2nd week.

Road sign indicates senior living starting at $1850 a month.

A retirement home has been proposed on the properties municipally known as 145, 147, 149, 151, 153 and 155 Meadowlands Drive West. The 4 storey building will consist of 165 retirement suites (rooming units) with underground parking for 50 vehicles. The tallest portion of the building would be 13.0 metres (four storeys) transitioning downwards when moving to the east along Meadowlands Drive to 10.15 metres (three storeys) in height. Access to the underground parking garage will be provided at the eastern edge of the site. A second access is proposed at the western edge of the site that would service a small surface parking area, loading and garbage collection areas at grade. In February 2014, the proposal changed from a 6 storey building to a 4 storey building.
