(Hamilton, ON - June 2, 2011) - Canadian football fans are soon to be introduced to a new brand of football played by the 'Gridiron Goddesses' of the Lingerie Football League (LFL). League officials have awarded the 2011 LFL All-Fantasy Game host rights to the city of Hamilton, Ontario to be played on Saturday, July 30 at Copps Coliseum.
Alongside Canada were the UK, Japan and Australia in the final round of countries bidding for the rights to host the high-profile game, prior to Hamilton, Ontario being chosen.
The Lingerie Football League's successful 2010 season which featured sell-out crowds, national television and tremendous growth will be capped with this all-star game featuring the league's elite players from the Eastern and Western Conference.
Newly named LFL expansion franchise Toronto Triumph will send its team captain Krista Ford to compete for the Eastern Conference as an honoree player. The Triumph and Ford will compete in the US league Fall 2011 before joining the Canadian league which is set to premiere September 2012 with (6) six inaugural season major market clubs.
"Understanding our long-term goals in Canada, we could not be more thrilled to have awarded the 2011 All-Fantasy Game to Canada. We expect there will be a highly-charged up crowd at Copps Coliseum on July 30", said, Mitchell S. Mortaza, Founder & Chairman, Lingerie Football League, LLC.
