This'll be an ongoing thread of my experiments in Google Sketchup. I'm fairly new to the program and haven't gotten into texturing or rendering yet. I have several as-yet-to-be-finished designs going, and I'll post more screen shots as progress is made or new experiments are begun.

For starters, here's Twisted Tower
It's about 930 ft / 283 m though I may or may not scale it differently. Just a dummy texture here.

And a teaser of a couple of low-rise experiments:

Cube House - a 7-story building based on 4 superimposed cubes.

Rhombic House - a hair-pullingly complicated idea of a house based on rhombic dodecahedra. What was I thinking?!

very nice style. I like houses and small buildings in this way. Would like more to see in this direction in reality, but unfortunatly most of houses are so ^^^ or /\. Congrats for your abbility.

Very interesting designs! They are very unconventional, but still feasible. Keep them coming!

Did you use the intersect command a lot?

*legitimately curious*

^I couldn't say for certain. I use it occasionally. I do use a ton of guide lines. I generally draw things "by hand" with all the proper guides in place, even sometimes prefer to trace where geometry intersects instead of have it automated (if I don't want a bunch of extraneous lines suddenly added to the model to have to go through and delete.)

It'll probably be a while till I post something new. I'm currently focusing on a pet project that will keep me occupied for a long time, but it's not of interest on this forum I don't think.
