I love this building, heres a nice feature on the website that I noticed a couple months ago. http://www.themontana.ca/1/3d_renders.htm

This is such a classy building, prime location close to 17th. It's been moving slow but it hasn't deterred me. So far I like how its turning out

^Cool. It's been awhile since I visited the Montana site. This is one of the first developments that got me checking out skyscraperpage in the first place. I don't like it as much as I did back then, but I think I've come around on it a bit again. Still not a fan of the roof though.

The interiors are quite nice. A definite step up from Emerald Stone.

The roof profile and the arching windows are a bit cheese, but it seems to be turning out better than expected.

Also, brick going up the entire side rather than transitioning to stucco would have been better.

Take off the goofy pyramid hat and the arches, and change the stucco and brick to either glass or metal, and this building would be a winner. As it is now this building looks to me like something out of the early 90s. Very cool website though.

^Montana looks pretty impressive from 17th Avenue.

Montana is turning out better than I expected. Even the roof is fitting in well with the overall design imo. Another great addition to Calgary's ever growing skyline!

Looking at Montana from 9th avenue last night I couldn't help but be dissapointed with how the tower sets-back to the upper heights.

It just looks too fat, and then all of a sudden it is slimmer up to the top.

Perhaps if they had a more gradual series of set-backs it would have given it a more tapered shape that could have possibly even helped the roof element blend in with the rest of the tower proper.

I agree, it looks like a man with head too small for his body.

Any idea how many units in the project in total?
