Interesting Facts/Records (in own words): These pylons are part of the HVDC Three Gorges-Changzhou, a 500 kV
HVDC powerline running from the Three Gorges dam ( static inverter plant: Longquan) to Changzhou ( static inverter plant: Zhengping ).
On these pylons, which carry 2 conductors, HVDC Three Gorges-Changzhou crosses Yangtze River with a span width of 191 metres.
Both pylons are tubular steel structures and the tallest pylons of an HVDC powerline in the world.
