Interesting Facts/Records (in own words): This pylon carries four 110 kV circuits for the power supply
of the German Railway Corporation ( Deutsche Bahn AG) over Weser River. It is together with its twin on
the Northern site of Weser River the tallest pylon carrying circuits for single phase AC in the world.

Note: In most parts of Germany, in Austria and in Switzerland the National Railway Companies operate an
own high voltage grid. This comes from the fact as they use on nearly all tracks single phase AC with
16.67 Hertz frequency, while the frequency of the public grid is 50 Hertz. As frequency converters are expensive
own power generation is common. However in some parts of Eastern Germany and Sweden and Norway where trains also
run with single phase AC power, frequency converters are installed in substations for power supply of
electric railways
