After the Oasis concert at Rexall on Friday, the GF and I said why not, and drove to Calgary to catch the Saturday show at the saddledome.

The C train wasn't running so we got screwed around by some shuttle bus and dropped off in hoboville north of the train tracks and had to find a way to the arena, pretty sketchy area.

Finally!

The opening band.

Saw some guy taking the cover off his hot tub on the roof off this building. That would be a pretty sweet joint.

I'd slit my wrist if I I had to work on this building. So many corners.

Cool! A real dead body! I was expecting to see a dead cow and a written off tractor around 1st and 6th avenue.

I also went to Oasis, but didn't have the kind of good seats you had. We were facing the stage, right at the back. Still not bad, but half an hour in, I was like... "Oh, that's Noel over there!"

Great concert though. Brought me back to my teenage years back home when all my mates were growing their hair trying to be like them.

Nice pictures Shofear. Mighty brave of you to be out taking pictures in that kind of weather. :) I wonder what was up with the dead body?

as we left today there were police cars all over the train yard east of downtown on seventh(??) ave. I'd assume they were trying to figure out what train the guy got smoked by.

but didn't have the kind of good seats you had.

I bought those Saturday afternoon from Ticketmaster. They were apparently late released "behind stage" tickets. If you ask me, I don't think you could buy tickets any better than that. The line to get into the Saddledome was ridiculous. It's as if all the semi retarded people who work at Tim Horton's during the day scan tickets there in the evening.

haha...ginty?

I think Denny lives close by. you never know.

One of my fave West Beltline developments, called Connaught Gardens I believe.. from the mid 90s.
