They hold a place of honour in the Who’s Who of rock bands.
Their songs are among the most familiar in the world, thanks to widespread airplay as the signature tunes for the CSI series.
Who? That’s right. The Who.
One of rock’s classic, enduring bands, the Who are heading back on tour and it appears their magic bus will touch down in Hamilton.
It would mark the first concert in Hamilton by the band, fronted by Pete Townshend and Roger Daltrey.
HECFI boss Duncan Gillespie said the band has announced concerts in Los Angeles. Dates are being added as the tour progresses.
Gillespie said he “can’t confirm or deny” rumours of a Who concert in Hamilton.
“We’re hopeful, first of all, that there will be Canadian dates. And second of all, hopeful that Hamilton will be added to the tour.”
But Toronto radio station Q-107 may have let the cat out of the bag. The station teased listeners this week with hints about the Who and a concert at Copps Coliseum.
The DJ said he couldn’t say ‘WHO’ is coming but would play music from someone it could be — and then played a Who song.

I heard that on the radio as well...Alot of great bands have played at Copps over the years, this is just another... But how much of the younger generation is the 'Who' going to draw? reason being younger acts 'bands' bring younger people to the core from other areas to spend there money and possible move here, buy homes, e.t.c. e.t.c...its just a thought! maybe a little off topic...:)

And make no mistake, this is just Pete and Roger with a backing band. Roger's lost a little bit of his flair but Pete still has it.
