The Shanghai Gymnasium is also known as "Shanghai Indoor Stadium" and "Shanghai Grand Stage", a venue for Rock concerts.

Shanghai Gymnasium is one of China's largest indoor sports venues. Construction was completed in 1975 (yup - that old!). In 1999 the gymnasium underwent renovation and expanded its functions for large-scale on-stage performances. Another brush-up was given in 2005, as the Gymnasium was the main venue of the 2005 World Table Tennis Championships.
