Five West non-identical twin condo towers in the background, the west tower is occupied and the east tower is about to be occupied. The pit in the foreground is Louise Station which is by the same developer as 5west. It will have affordable housing, a fire hall, and a mid-rise condo tower called Solaire.

Genco Place (Concrete Equities Plaza) turned out better than I thought it would.

TBH, I didn't think that Tubby Dog was big enough for bands to play in. Then again, I've only ever observed the establishment from the sidewalk.

Boris - Thanks for having a look. I haven't been to Tubby Dog but it looked crowded that night. I hear their sweet potato fries are great.
They had almost 25 years to get Genco/Concrete Equities right, so I'm pleased it finally got built. I think it was the second to last hold-over from the early eighties. Novachem and the Catholic School Board in the west end were both projects gone bust that were eventually salvaged. AFAIK, the last foundation left over from the early eighties still waiting to be completed is FCC2 which was going to be 64 floors ...

Thanks UrbanactivistTX for commenting! There will be lots of changes to see this summer as more buildings go up.

I was visiting friends tonight in Bridgeland and this is the view from their deck.

Waterfront condos cranes, the first building is sold out, not sure how many buildings and units there will be when finished, but it is one of the biggest condo developments ever in Calgary. It replaces the former Greyhound bus barns which were a toxic site.
