I am looking for a place in Ottawa that has the best doughnuts. Sans Tim Hortons because it is not even fresh nor made in store. Come on there has to be a place in Ottawa that has fresh doughnuts. I want deep fired rings!

Please throw some places out. And let the discussion begin!

P.S. No i am not overweight at all, I just like the odd junk food treat.

I have gotten fresh donuts many times from Tim Horton's. It's all about timing. But since you want otherwise, there are some Kripy Kremes around and the Carp bakery, while far, makes damn fine donuts.

There's a really nice bakery near Bank and Nepean streets that makes awesome donuts....I can't remember their name. I'll have to go by and doing some investigating (i.e. donut eating).

I was never really a fan of Kripy Kremes

I am looking for a inhouse bakery more or less.

There's a place called Fidelice on St-Joseph in Hull that makes tasty pastries, but that may be a little out of your way.

Further down the street there's the Pain d'Alain bakery, but they don't make doughnuts.

I guess I haven't helped you at all. Sorry.
