Cool photo's...but I have a question about this new format. Why can't all information, article's, and photo's about Vancouver, WA be placed in the Portland Suburbs in Washington thread?

I'm not sure I put it in the right place either, but the general photos didn't seem like they fit in the construction and land development forum. :shrug:

Couv....you're right... I am an idiot. I didn't realize there were "forum titles" in the "Blue Bar" headings...I was just paying attention to the bold faced type titles... my bad...

No problem, I think the titles will be tweaked as we move through this change, making it easier to choose where to post certain material.

Nice photo set. Vancouver, WA is certainly a great downtown for a secondary center in the Portland area. I would like to see all of Portland's major suburbs from Gresham to Beaverton to Hillsboro, even Tigard and Tualatin look similar someday.... All connected by MAX of course. ;)

..after downtown Portland has expanded to include about 100 new towers in the next decade. ;)

I just bought a postcard of Vancouver, Washington and scanned it. That picture was taken at about 1980's.

This show how much different downtown Vancouver was in 1980's and present.

There are lot of building that was missing that existed today, such like:

Clark County Public Service Center
Vancouvercenter buildings
Riverview Tower
Main Place
Westcoast Bank
Heritage Condos
Esther Short Park (like the tower, plaza, etc)
Esther Short Commons
Vancouver Land Bridge
Cinemas Movie Theater
Vancouver Hilton Hotel
The Columbian building
