Welcome to the largest urban renovation project in the world! The Lebanese Capital Beirut had completely changed in less then 10 years
under the company of Solidere. Buildings damaged by decades of war that could be salvaged were restored meticulously to match the old architecture.
Phase I of the renovation project was completed in 2004 and phase II (highrise phase) has started, with an all new Beirut Marina planned that is currently
under construction and a second Beirut Marina on the reclaimed land to be completed in 2025.

That is one of the best looking cities I have seen. As a westerner would it be hard to live there? I'm talking about socialy etc. Looks very impressive.

^^ i'm a westerner myself living in Byblos with my Lebanese wife, It is not hard living here at all, everyone speaks english and french on top of arabic, it's a trilingual country.
