My cousin and I was bored and hot. She wanted to get out of the house and also take her son and her friends son out for some fun. Well we decided on Laguna Beach, and also took the scenic 45 min route down PCH. Oh these were also taken with my new DSLR Canon Rebel XT.

Enjoy!

That is the best shot I have seen from you ChrisLA:

I would have just moved the camera farther to the left to not see the cars and more of the ocean. ;) Just my personal critique.

And what a backdrop for a basketball court:

Yeah there were some, but its not that easy to point such a large camera at them and get away with it. Besides I just picked up a better zoom lens only yesterday. Still I notice what seem like a lot more when we passed by Huntington Beach. I think thats always the case, HB attracts more hot looking women.

Boris: We teased him big time, and Omar tried to say its because the guy was taller than him. Yet later this older and shorter guy came over and owned the hippy big time.

Also thanks everyone for the comments, hopefully one day I'll perfect this hobby.

You seem to be doing just fine, ChrisLA.
Laguna Beach looks like the quintessential Southern Californian beach town.

Nice set, Chris. You seem to be enjoying the XT. I'm getting one in a few weeks--can't wait. I'd also suggest the EF 50mm f/1.8 lens. It's around $70 and is great for portraiture and low light situations. Tremendous quality for the price.

Great shots, Chris. You made me miss Orange County (I'm actually thinking about moving back, anyway) and congrats on the new camera! Welcome to the Canon Family ;)

You wouldn't want to have anything to do with them, trust me. Some of the most uppity people you'll ever meet reside in Laguna Beach...but the locale is gorgeous ;)

Oh and "John Wayne Airport"- that's awesome, never heard of that before :)

John Wayne's yacht is still somewhere in Newport Beach. The airport is nice if only for convenience, but has (in my opinion) the scariest damn takeoff pattern of any major airport in the United States, thanks to the millionaire residents of Newport Beach who moved to the area long after the airport was already established.

Essentially, the pilot holds the brakes and revs the engines up to full power, you blast off down the runway, climb at a 20-degree steeper altitude than normal until you reach somewhere between 800 and 1000 feet, then the plane levels off and the engine power is cut back to reduce noise as you coast over the multi-million dollar homes of Newport Beach (when technically, most of the takeoff pattern is over undeveloped Newport Bay). Once you get out over the Pacific, the engines fire back up and you continue on with a normal takeoff. Because of the ultra-short runway, no plane larger than a Boeing 757 can fly in/out of SNA (although some freighter Airbus A300s have been spotted from time to time). Some people love the takeoff, but personally, I hate it.

Interesting to see, but I'm no ocean lover, the ocean has never clicked for me, I must be retarded, as I'd rather sit by a small gurgling mountain stream any day!

I don't like getting my glasses all mucked up with sea salt!:slob:
