Spent the morning going around Portland snapping some pictures. Nothing great, but I tried to get a lot of them. I guess a drawback of going on a pictures excursion on a Friday morning is that everybody is at work and off the streets. One of the great things about Portland is being able to do all this on my bike :)

Nice!

What is the capacity of PGE Park?

MarkDaMan
Jun 25, 2007, 3:23 PM
^currently just under 20,000. For the World Cup Women's Soccer the stadium was expanded to 30,000 seats for the games and then the seating was reduced again for baseball. If the MLS does locate in Portland, and PGE Park, PGE Park could be expanded to hold about 35K.

Great pics der R, don't sell yourself short there were some great shots in there!

Great photo thread der Reisender. Hasn't that Hippo Hardware signage on the posts been around what seems like forever? For some reason, I have always liked that Sandy Blvd - Burnside Ave intersection because they both lead to interesting sections of the city.

......All the pictures I see are people and pedestrian oriented. Although Portland does have some decent highrises and looks like it is getting more, the place has a good people scale to it. Rather than some cities that have massive skyscrapers, yet shut down at night, Portland gives off a comfortable, people friendly aura.

Nice pics. You got my workplace in downtown and almost my hood when you snapped Pambiche. You also got my second favorite building in the Telegram. I'm a sucker for the clock towers, which is why my favorite building in PDX is the Jackson Tower. Great work.
