First, I am unsure under what category this thread belongs. Anyway, here goes. I recently moved to a place that overlooks the construction site of one the greatest projects ever to occur in the U.S. Construction will start soon. I would like to document the progress of construction and share with my fellow sikyscraperpagers. But I am unsure of the equipment nessesary to do so. I was thinking of possibly a web cam of some sort, and then possible setting up a website for this camera. But I am not sure what kind to buy. Also I am on a bit of budget being a student and all. Any advice at all is helpful, whether it be your experiences on doing something like this or what to look for in a camera.

lucky you

just get a 5mpx point and shot and a cheap tripod and set it up and take a pic a day or every our ect and make a monolog of it rising...

also take other angles as it progresses...

look in the mb hydro thread in my sig for examples
also check out the newyork times tower thread (the one in the thread archive)
