The last of three videos shot by a team of skilled base jumpers who parachuted from atop the Freedom Tower in September was released Monday.

The footage, taken from a camera strapped to jumper Marko Markovich's head, reveals the stunning city view he and his fellow plungers saw and the nervous minutes before the fall.

"This is some f------ s--- right here," Markovich can be heard saying.

"Go ahead, man you got this," a pal encouraged.

"This is so f-----," the jittery jumper added.

Markovich, 27, WTC ironworker James Brady, 32, and fellow thrill-seeker Andrew Rossig, 33, are due in Manhattan Supreme Court Tuesday to be arraigned on an indictment over the matter — the first of two incidents to expose a lack of security at the potential terrorist target.

WTC parachutists: We spent 4 hours atop tower

Three skydivers say they spent about four hours atop 1 World Trade Center before parachuting off it in a stunt that raised questions about security at the skyscraper and left them facing felony charges.

James Brady, Marko Markovich and Andrew Rossig mentioned the four-hour timeframe in court papers Tuesday. They acknowledge making the Sept. 30 jump but pleaded not guilty to burglary and other charges.
They were arrested last month, shortly after a teenager was accused of climbing the as-yet-unfinished tower.

The incidents have spurred concerns about how tightly the security-conscious trade center is actually protected. The teen and the parachutists say they got in through holes in the perimeter fence.
Site owner the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey hasn't immediately responded to an inquiry.

Yeah. I calculated that it's roughly 225 feet from sea level. The base is about 1/9 of the building. The rest is structural floors, and the mast.

However, I would like to know if those antennas will be installed on the ring only, or also on the spire??

The spire is NOT an antenna, there is no electronic equipment at all inside it. So, if antennas will be installed on the spire, where exactly will it be?

On the spire. I don't have a diagram on me, but about 2/3+ the way up the spire there are holes to bolt equipment onto.

Antennas will attach to the middle portion of the spire and communication dishes will be installed into communication dishes.

Why ask a question only to provide your own answer?

The mast will have broadcast equipment. There isn't anything there now because they won't begin installing those things for another year or so.

So I'm still a bit confused. Will the spire light remain on throughout the night when the building opens or will they shut it off like they do now?

^^ It will shut down, however very late at night (morning, technically). Currently, it turns off at 12:00 am, however Durst's other towers have been turning off at 2:00 am, so it will most likely follow that as well.

I love how the construction lights are no longer exactly uniform due to a lot of the interior materials starting to go in. Gives a preview of how the tower will look at night filled with offices.

Yes!! New York needs a super Supertall- not only would it look awesome but it would be a prevalent gateway to America coming from the east visible from many miles away. 1WTC would make a great stepping effect leading up to it on the skyline. With the pace NY is at with its Supertalls it may be possible within the next 10 years.

I'm surprised to see that, in most recently released movies that take place in NYC, it's almost like the directors did their best to AVOID showing 1WTC in their movies. Only very few movies are exceptions and show 1WTC.

I was wondering why the WTC is still a "place to hide" whereas two huge skyscrapers, including the tallest one in NYC, are already built :koko:

If NYC wants to show to the world that "we rebuilt the skyline", hiding the WTC landmark in each one of the recent movies is not the proper method.

saw it last week. it is show in a couple of scenes in Spiderman 2.. They strategically photoshopped the construction elevator! it's an amazing Brooklyn Bridge view though!

I think it's called 99 park place?

It's 937 feet (285 meters tall) and will be an ~80 story residential building :)

When will they install the big lids upon the ventilation towers?

because on some renderings we can see that the four ventilation towers inside the communication ring have lids.
That will give a more "massive" aspect of the rooftop when it's installed :)

German fashion brand Hugo Boss is closing in on a deal with the Durst Organization and the Port Authority of New York & New Jersey for 100,000 square feet of office space at One World Trade Center.

Claus-Dietrich Lahrs, CEO of Hugo Boss, is considering moving the headquarters from the Starrett-Leigh Building in Chelsea to the World Trade Center site.

Hugo Boss recently took a shop in the Oculus, the World Trade Center retail complex, along with Apple, Michael Kors, John Varvatos, J. Lindberg, Cole Haan and Canali, as The Real Deal reported.

Tech firm Percolate is also negotiating for office space at 1 WTC – about 50,000 square feet, the New York Post reported. The firm, based at 107 Grand Street, has been looking to expand its operations.

Hugo Boss is trying on 1 World Trade Center for size, even as a media company’s breakthrough move to 4 World Trade Center appears all but sewn up.

The fashion giant is in “serious” talks with the Port Authority and the Durst Organization for 100,000 square feet of office space at 1 WTC, sources told Realty Check.

Hugo Boss is now headquartered at the Starrett-Leigh Building on far West 26th Street.

The Boss talks are just one of the major ongoing lease developments at the WTC. Technology company Percolate, a provider of online “content marketing software,” is also in talks for 50,000 square feet at 1 WTC — a negotiation believed to be farther along than for Hugo Boss.

Meanwhile, in a major breakthrough for Larry Silverstein, online software developer MediaMath is wrapping up the fine points of a lease for 120,000 square feet at 4 WTC.

Meanwhile, at 1 WTC, the Percolate deal is said to be “very far along.” The company is now based on Grand Street but needs expansion space.

Hugo Boss CEO Claus-Dietrich Lahrs is said by sources to be considering options that include renewing at Starrett-Leigh or a move to 1 WTC, among other downtown options.

The three WTC deals, if completed, are of immense psychological importance. Critics of a proposal for the PA to give Silverstein a loan guarantee for 3 WTC cite a recent pause in WTC leasing as threatening a “glut.”

But the prospective leases demonstrate that the complex has been gaining traction behind the scenes — hardly unusual for negotiations conducted in secret.

We also reported last week that three big firms — Time Inc., Bank of NY Mellon and Hudson’s Bay Co. — were in advanced talks for more than 1 million square feet at Brookfield Plaza just west of the WTC.

Wow that is an awesome effect the design has at street level, I have yet to see this before somehow. It almost looks impossible.

Good to see more private sector tenants flocking to WTC. This should pressure the PA to get 3 WTC rising soon.

OT: Why would they locate their offices in the middle of nowhere? 26 St. between 11-12 ave? Wow what a nightmare commute. Not surprised they want to leave said building.

Yes, there's currently three negotiations happening all at the same time. That should definitely help persuade the PA even more to get Tower 3 built. If you build it, they will come.

Great timing, too. So much for the PA's "glut" argument! 1WTC and 4WTC seem poised to share 7WTC's destiny, which is very good news for 3WTC indeed.

Was in line at the grocery store last night and there was a news magazine, either Time or Newsweek, can't remember which one, that had a cover story about the new WTC with a gleaming picture on the front, looked very nicely done.

saw the same thing at the local Pathmark on Monday.. Was about to buy it, just browsed through it quickly after realizing I can find most of those photos on the TIME article about the WTC. I may buy it though as a collector's item though

No word on size yet. I'd imagine a somewhat large shop, however given the location. I can tell you Victoria Secret will be taking 17,000 square feet of space, being the largest shop in the entire mall. They will be located B2 level under Tower 4.

I don't understand why most people hate the spire so much. I personally think it fits in well with the rest of New York; the industrial feel.
