Seriously though.....the farther west you guy, the worse it fucking gets. I stick east of Fairfax at all costs. The last couple times I went deep into the West Side I seriously wanted to kill myself.

To truely appreciate Los Angeles you have to look past your fixed image of the place and approach it with a very open mind. LA is very diverse both culturally and ethnically so don't be surprised to see a sea of brown, blacks, and asians which make up most of the city's population and who are often times underepresented when speaking of Los Angeles.

I'm not ignorant, I have been to the West Side plenty of times, and it ain't my thing. I really doubt those West Siders you are referring to have been downtown many times if at all or even to Silverlkae and Echo Park et al.

THANK YOU! I personally despise the crappy areas of the eastside and going there makes me feel like I want to heave. Seeing how disgusting the area is filled with trash and an overall blanket of dirt makes me wail! lol :jester:

If you happen to be in a shitty part of LA, realize gang members are jerks and deal with it (while avoiding them). The best way to cope with some fool acting out is to realize what a sad and pathetic life they lead if causing trouble or acting trashy/stereotypical is something worth doing.

Also much of LA looks pretty nice in a car, remember that, and also that the worst areas only appear seem(or get) that way if you linger or make yourself noticeable.
