I believe we haven't had a thread like this before.
Anyway, I'm starting to learn how to take and stitch panoramas together. I have done 4 so far, but it will definitely be more in the future.
Hong Kong Island Panorama. This one was impossible to 'correct' in my computer. I guess I must have been drunk when I took it.
http://www.pbase.com/staffh/image/70140681/original.jpg
Hangzhou West Lake Panorama. Obvious mistake by using different exposure times for the individual frames.
http://www.pbase.com/staffh/image/70140933/original.jpg
Moscow Panorama.
http://www.pbase.com/staffh/image/70143173/original.jpg
Shanghai (well, it shows a tiny bit of the western parts of the central city) Panorama.

NOTE: This thread's purpose is to show photos that you have taken yourself.

Here are some from New York City back in April. The Canon photostitch program I used (which
came with my camera) is not the greatest. I need to update to a better stitching program.

I'm not that good at pans. I've never made a real panorama, where the angle coverage is very wide. What I actually made are composite images where I use a telephoto lens and make a very large image of something that could be photographed in a single picture with a wider lens.
But here are some I've done
http://gallery.qrivy.net/d/22501-3/harbor_island_2_4000.jpg
http://gallery.qrivy.net/d/22504-3/shelter_island_1_4000.jpg

http://gallery.qrivy.net/d/17452-2/gasworks_pan.jpg
http://gallery.qrivy.net/d/16355-2/devou_pan.jpg
The last one was taken with my old camera (Sony F717)
All of these were stitched manually in Photoshop. I haven't had any luck with automatic panorama software.

I can never make my big panoramics level. For panos that use 8 or more pics, they always end up not being level. I used my tripod for these, and they still end up with the horizon not being level. The program I use is part of Paint Shop Pro, it's an automatic stitch. How can I stitch it manually with Paint Shop Pro?
Here's a few more.

great thread and great work everyone..
not to be a wet blanket or anything, but if we're going to be able to enjoy this thread, we really need to use thumbnails... by the time everyone post their biggest and baddest pans...well..it'll be like looking at one of my threads... way too friggin' big, mb wise..
more on the way.. just having to re-edit a few things..

I'm sorry guys but I didn't snap any panaromic pictures of a landscape or of a scenery, but I did one, not really that panoramic but it's rather "Vertical" Panoramic photograph. ;)
I am from Singapore, but in December I went to Kuala Lumpur to snap a picture of the Petronas. Nothing fancy I think. Too Bad it's my only "Vertical Panoramic" Picture available in my PC...

As I have mentioned, I never done any panoramic photography before, so I am not good in merging photos together to make a Panoramic, so that's why you see some joints and unproportionate perspective angles and etc.. Sorry about those though. :)

This is a great idea. It sure is neat to see so many panoramas of so many cities in one thread.
