Hahaha, I thought about mentioning that.

Two years ago it was going to "probably be a Taco Bell" according to the city council.

Don't know if it still will be, but I think that is the most likely.

I saw an ad today in both the Seattle & Eastside papers about a new 30 story condo called vipBellevue. The ad says that it will be attached to one of the country's premier, upscale department stores. The website also said it will have a 5-star boutique hotel. Does anyone know where this will be located?

Could Bellevue Square be getting a condo tower?

If so, I'm sure it would do well. Some people actually like the place.

ps, their website, www.vipbellevue.com, is poorly written by the same people who did several for Seattle projects.

This time they had the apostrophe in "you'll", but again they misunderstand commas. There shouldn't be a comma after "premier".

Yes, and to be able to view their website I had to run my IE browser with Administrator privileges. You shouldn't have to do that in order to view a webpage.

Results of Sammamish town center survey. Looks like anything even slightly urban got a disapproval...But then again...almost any development in Sammamish except a park would get a disapproval.

But still...to think that I'm part of the pathetic 8% that is okay with buildings over 5 stories is depressing.

They really may as well just scrap the town center plan... Dense developments would be out of place here anyway. Build that stuff in Seattle and Bellevue.

Anyone got renderings of the new Lexus site? Being a Lexus owner, I'm curious to see if the plan is to include both sales and SERVICE center in this one location. Currently their service depot is over off of Bel-Red road.

Also anyone know what the plan is for their old building?

Nice find horatio! Some of these projects are new to me as well but I'm pretty sure I know where they're all located.

-The Mastro properties project is on the site directly south of the new City Hall on NE 4th and 112th. Right now it's an empty lot filled with bushes, trees, and a surface lot. One of the last wooded areas left in the downtown core. Hines had a proposal for an office building here during the dot com boom but that was scrapped during the recession.

-The Meydenbauer inn project is also on 112th, its sandwiched between an old office building and the Excalibur apartments. The lot is currently empty.

-Not exactly sure where the Alliance project is, but looking at the map it looks like its directly south of the "Abella" condos on ne 4th and 110th.

-the Foutains at Pacific Regents tower looks like it'll be the second tower in the pacific regents complex. I'm guessing that it'll be located on the parking lot of the first tower. I've always wondered why they built that tower in the middle of the block instead of up to the street.

I've been waiting for someone to announce something for the corner of Bellevue way and NE 8th on the NW side. The other 3 corners have sleek new buildings an then there is gap of hodge-podge jewelry stores and other muck. It wouldn't surprise me if that corner has a new plan within 5 years. Its starting to detract from the surrounding area and doesn't serve anyone that well with small parking lots and low traffic shops that don't use that real estate to its full potential. Here's a proposal I found for a 6 story apartment building on the south side of Main between 107th and 108th across from the Masins building. It will require demolition of the Jasmine Thai restaurant. I had a feeling that this area would be the next to see some new residential development. With the SRM and Main St gateway projects at the intersection of Bellevue way and Main, I could see residential development move east on main and replace those little strip malls.

I think Pacific Regent was built in the mid eighties. Originally it was to be 2 towers, but the developer had trouble selling the condo units at first. It is an over 55 community and they were a bit ahead of the curve. Now, almost all of the units have been aquired (by hook or by crook) by The Fountains, a company that sells the units for the aged buyer's lifetime. when they die, The Fountains regains ownership.

Anyway, welcome to the 'Quah. Nobody calls it that though.

It just seems so poorly planned and... I don't know. Messy. State park to an office campus by a lumber yard to a strip mall with an enormous parking lot to miners with hundreds and hundreds and identical apartments and townhouses on top of a hill that have no pedestrian connection to the stores below and is a horrible waste of would could have been a semi-urban neighborhood, and so on. At least in Sammamish we have the courtesy to hide most of our sprawl with trees.

you guys are a joke. I will say youre an amusing joke but a jooke none the less.

Yeah, This almost turned into another Tribute to how great Tim's Cascade chips are. By the way, they're still the best!

Nothing wrong with interjecting a little fun, as long as we can get back on track...:)

I saw that the tower-crane at the eddie bauer building is moving higher today. Progress is being made!

Seems funny to call it the Eddie Bauer building now. Wonder who the potential buyers of Eddie Bauer could be? (MrVandelay posted an article in the NW economy thread about a possible sale of Eddie Bauer)

Glad to see it moving along.

yeah it looked a lot taller today for some reason..and when driving north on 405...it fills in the gap between the towers from the 80's and lincoln sqare...so now lincoln square doesnt look as out of place..just image the bellevue towers in there too!!! and CITY CENTER II! ANDDD ANNNNDDD!...THE BRAVERN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Next to Ashwood Commons there's a Proposed Land Use Action sign which says an applicant wants to build 22-story and 13-story buildings (both residential it seems). I guess this is the Ashwood Commons II project someone mentioned somewhere a couple weeks ago.

Oh yeah I forgot - they're also soon gonna start building a new park-and-ride in Issaquah. :D

Another one? Where will that one be? That's interesting.

The Issaquah Highlands Park and Ride is quite the facility. Nicest looking Park and Ride I have ever seen - hands down. And it seems to get a lot of use. Maybe that's the reason for another one.

well the one they are going to start construction on is down in issaquah on SR 900 (Renton-Issaquah Road) Its right off the freeway. That will be very nice when they complete that because there isnt much parking and Im going to have to use it everyday this summer!

What I meant was, they're gonna re-do the existing one. Build a garage, and everything.

red-construction
blue-approved

towers that i included are under construction except for one which is approved

many towers arent included because they are behind the other buildings.
