Bernal is the second most populous city of Quilmes county. It was named after Félix Bernal, who donated the land for the construction of the railway station of the same name.
Here are the National University of Quilmes, one of the venues of the Catholic University of La Plata, the Gral. Belgrano Water Treatment Plant (which supplies the Greater Buenos Aires) and the oldest building of the county, a house from 1805, declared National Historic Monument of Argentina. |
