| Oak Park is a residential suburb, located on Detroit's northern border. Despite being the heart of Metropolitan Detroit, the city (incorporated in 1945) has a very small-town feel to it. The community is noted for its large Orthodox Jewish community, which has resulted in the creation of multiple synagogues and Jewish community centers. |
