Erie

Erie, located along Lake Erie, is the forth largest city in Pennsylvania. Erie is Pennsylvania's only lake port city and is nicknamed "Flagship city". The city is the seat of Erie County.

Erie's Presque Isle Bay, which is surrounded by a 7-mile peninsula and is one of the state's top tourist attractions. The city is home to the oldest land lighthouse on the Great Lakes, built in 1818. Erie is the home port of the reconstructed flagship of Commodore Oliver Hazard Perry, the Brig Niagara. The ship helped win the Battle of Lake Erie in the War of 1812.

The population of the Erie metropolitan area is over 275,000.
