• Wind power farm with a total capacity of 30 MW and 15 wind power turbines of 2 MW each, plant located in the vicinity of the village Zagórze at the Szczecin Lagoon in the region West, in the kamienski south-east of the island of Wolin.

• It was built in the second half of 2002. Each year the farm produces from 56 to 72 million kWh of electricity, equivalent to energy consumption by approximately 25 thousand of Polish households.

• Construction of wind farm power was an important investment in the community Wolin, and throughout the region. The total implementation costs amounted to almost 30 million euros. 30% of this amount went to companies in the form of payment for supplies and services in the implementation of the project. As a work of subcontractors and the design and construction employed a number of Polish businesses, including specialized companies operating in the municipality Wolin. In total, the construction phase for the project were employed 1000 people.

• The project in Zagórze is Danish - Polish project demonstration of Joint Implementation (projects implemented jointly), in which the Polish government attaches ago endeavor to obtain the reduced size of the emission of carbon dioxide - CO 2.

• In accordance with the Kyoto Protocol, the two countries can agree on the implementation of joint ventures, which result in the country financially supporting projects to reduce CO 2 emissions in another country may include a specified proportion of the resulting reduction to reduce emissions of CO 2 in the country.

• When wind speed reaches about 4 m/s, wind turbine generator is automatically connected to the grid and begins production of electricity. Production is increased when the wind speed increases to 14 m/s (rated wind speed) at which the turbines reach maximum power of 2 MW.

• At higher wind speeds the output is automatically maintained at the same level to minimize the burden on the mechanical turbines. This is done by changing the angle of attack of rotor blades.

• When wind speed exceeds 25m/s, the turbine is stopped to avoid overloading.

• Wind farm was put into service in January 2003.
