Tuckerton Telegraph Tower was used for the first permant radio link to Germany. It was built by HOMAG, which also built Eilvese transmitter.
The mast was demolished on December 27th, 1955. Some of its basements still exist ( http://www.stuofdoom.com/blocks.html ).
