- Tallest building in Dallas from 1959 to 1964,surpassed by the Republic Center II.
- Tallest hotel in Texas.
- Originally the complex was the Southland Center, headquarters for Southland Life, the complex was converted to the Adam's Mark Hotel in 1996, later renamed the Sheraton Dallas Hotel in 2008 when Adam's Mark was sold to Sheraton.
