- The structure was originally constructed as the Lang und Mittelwellensendemast Hamburg-Billwerder in 1950, this mast served as a mast radiator at Hamburg-Billwerder until 1964, when it was dismantled and moved to this site.

- The mast is now used as a mast radiator insulated against the ground with a FM transmission antenna on top.
