• This building houses the federal headquarters of Argentina's postal department, along with other state services.

• The building was made a national historic monument in 1997.

• The national postal department was removed from this building in 2003, and it is planned to be transformed into a performing arts center between 2007 and 2010 and inaugerated the "Centro Cultural del Bicentenario".
