Description
Architect: Jan van Henegouwen

• On August 1 1674 the center part of the church was destroyed by a hurricane, seperating the tower with the rest of the church, so since then tower became world's tallest free-standing one (till 1884). To celebrate the 750 anniversary of the church in 2004 the old center part of the church was reconstructed with a 42 meter tall steel frame, filling the gap between tower and church.
• A 105 meter tall replica was built in Nagasaki.
