On July 26th, the LG Building located on Chang'an Avenue (outside Jianguo Gate) with a total investment of 400 million US dollars officially started construction. The building adopts a twin tower design, with a height of 140 meters, 30 floors above ground and 4 floors underground, similar in appearance to LG's global headquarters located in Seoul, South Korea. After its completion, this place will become the overall headquarters for LG Group's business development in the Chinese market, with 12 LG companies led by LG Electronics working together here.

The construction of LG Tower is defined by this Fortune 500 multinational company as a milestone in localization, rooted in China, and expanding through capital increase. LG has been entering the Chinese market for 10 years, with a total investment of nearly 2 billion US dollars. Its business includes chemicals, daily chemical products, household appliances, emerging building materials, etc. LG's new market target is communication products, and its CDMA phones have already been put into production in China. This year, it will provide 1.6 million units to the Chinese market.
