-Harrah's Entertainment recently bought out the Imperial Palace for $370 million to complete its ownership of four properties in row on the Las Vegas Strip, expects to reveal a master plan for redeveloping the 150-acre site by mid-2006.
-Imperial Palace started out as a small 200 room hotel in 1959 called the Flamingo Capri. In the 1970's the name changed to Imperial Palace. Phase one started in 1979: Two 19 story towers. Phase Two: another 19 story tower was added in 1982. Phase three: 547 room 19 story tower was added in 1989.
