- This is one of the oldest of Chicago's skyscrapers.
- The first, and shorter (18 floors) half, of the building was completed in 1896. The second, and taller (20 floors) half, of the building was completed in 1906.
- A renovation completed in 2002 restored the former office building as a residential condominium building.
