Description The Tower was the airport's FAA Control Tower from October 1962 to April 1996. Today the tower is now used exclusively for airport administration offices.
A new FAA Tower was built in 1996 nearby, today the tower is still in use today but for other uses.
The Los Angeles International Airport is the fifth busiest airport in the world based on number of passengers.
