- This is the tallest building in Beaumont.

- This was the command center for Beaumont authorities during Hurrican Rita that hit Texas in 2005.

- The building houses a museum devoted to Thomas Edison, the only west of the Mississippi River.

- The building has been said to have been built too large for the local office market, and routintely posts high vacancy rates.
