Description • Architect: Nikken Sekkei Ltd.
• Developer: Fortune Group.

• This tower was originally supposed to have 101 floors and to be named "Fortune 101". It was to be located in Dubai Marina near other tall towers such as Ocean Heights, Princess Tower and Infinity Tower.
• However the location was changed to business bay, the floor count increased to 108 and the name changed to "Burj al Alam" or The World Tower as of March 28th 2006. The tower will offer 74 floors of office space, 27 floors of hotel rooms and serviced apartments and retail space at the base.
