• The Modis Tower was Jacksonville's tallest building from 1974 to 1990, surpassed by the Bank of America Tower, it was also the tallest building in the state of Florida from 1974 to 1981, surpassed by the Tampa City Center.
• The building is known for being one og Jacksonville's most prominent skyscrapers, with its oversized signage, glass facade, and slanted base.
• Known as the Independent Life Building until the 1990's. The building featured signage reading "INDEPENDENT LIFE" atop the building, today it has been replaced for Modis Technologies.
