- The "Michigan National" neon singage was removed in 2001 after the bank was bought out Standard Federal Bank. The lettering was 4.5' tall, and each letter weighed 200 to 300 pounds.
- The tower underwent a major renovation in 2004, which included the replacement of all of the windows, among other work completed.
