• After the first design was unanimously rejected by city officials, renowned architect Arthur Erikson was brought in to help, and the result is a "torqued" tower, which rotates over the course of its height. It has been likened to Turning Torso in Malmö, Sweden
• Trump Hotel closed in late 2021 due to financial reasons; the last of its brand in Canada.The property was purchased and rebranded Paradox Hotel opening in April 2022
