- Originally a darker black color, the building was repainted to a lighter grey color in the early 90's.
- Being located at the end of Water Street, It is the southernmost of all Manhattan skyscrapers.
- August 5, 1970, a fire ravaged the top two floors of the tower. The fire started around 6 PM, and burned for more than 6 hours.
