• It is one Chicago's most outstanding Art Deco-style skyscrapers and one of four buildings surrounding the Michigan Avenue Bridge (the others are the London Guarantee Building, the Wrigley Building and the Tribune Tower).

• Designated a Chicago Landmark on February 7, 1997.
